More about our impact
The environment
We have improved how the environment of the Hartington Courts looks and many local people have commented on this. No one has graffitied or spoilt the mural since its creation which is amazing in an area with known ASB issues.
Volunteering, jobs & education
As outlined many local people have been involved in volunteering and this has given local adults and children the chance to learn new skills and confidence. One of the key volunteers said the project has given her more confidence and she spoke at our open event about this
Arts, culture & heritage
We have created a beautiful piece of community art in a space often known for anti-social behaviour, dog fouling and crime. We have shown Preston what is possible when a community comes together and local people feel an increased sense of pride.
Activity, health and leisure
We got people out into this local greenspace and alongside the mural painting run other groups for families and adults to connect, get active and learn new skills.
