Updates
We've hit our target, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so much for your support. On Sunday (30th June) we'll be celebrating by hosting the Penn Fields party, and would love it if you joined us. It's part of the Mayor's Community Weekend, supported by National Lottery funding and the West Midlands Combined Authority. We've got a face painter if you fancy some beautiful butterfly embellishments or transformations into something more out this world, the lovely lady from Wolves Rocks who can help you decorate rocks to hide around Wolverhampton or set off on the Black Country Rainbow Rock Race Challenge, and team from Homes for Bugs who will help you make insect hotels for your garden or allotment. And they'll be a chance of winning prizes from Kings Seeds, Ashwood Nurseries and Codsall and Wergs Garden Centre. If you can bring a plate of food to share, that would be great, but our fabulous local businesses have also given us samosas, pakoras, drinks and crisps. (thank you Pooja Mithai Namkeen, Jeffcock Road Stores, Bruford Arms and Nisa Sangha supermarket. We hope to see you on Sunday, 2-4pm on the allotment car park, 202 Jeffcock Road, Penn Fields, Wolverhampton WV3 7AH More to follow in future weeks and months about developing the plot, and realising our plans.
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
Thank you to all who bought some of the yummy cakes and samosas at our Bake Sale this morning. There was a fabulous turn out at City of Wolverhampton Council and we raised an amazing £328 for the Growing Spaces project. Special thanks goes to Sam Axtell, Howard Jobber, Steph Twilley, Lorna and Felix Podd for serving all the hungry customers. You can find the recipes for some of the cakes, on our social media.
