The idea
Great Wakering Cricket Club has been part of the local village community since 1880. The purpose of the club is to promote the sport within the local community, providing opportunities for recreation, coaching and competition. A key objective of the club over the coming years is to re-establish our colts section so once again cricket can be offered to the boys and girls of the local community.
What we'll deliver
- Ensuring the cricket club is financially stable for the next few years
- Provide a safe environment for the community to come and watch or play cricket
Why it's a great idea
With more financial stability, we will be able to offer better facilities for members of the community. We also want to be able to set up a Colts section to be able to offer the youngsters of Great Wakering a place to play cricket.
