The idea
The aim of the project would be to fit out the space and provide a small amount of gym equipment that would allow individuals to complete an all over body work out.
The project would look to provide a number of different levels of gym access helping to engage various groups of the local demographic.
Level 1- Provide a space for the general public to access for a small period per day this would include a general tariff for access on a monthly membership scheme basis. The cost to access would be subsidised at an affordable rate and the Gym would be open 7am -9am and 5pm - 8PM
Level 2 – Provide a space for people with shared characteristics which will help peer support, reduction of barriers and the development of community. The possible characteristics could be-
• Over 65’s
• Women only
• BMI over 30
• 12-16 Year olds
These sessions will be for set periods every day that the gym is open helping for continuity and accessibility.
Level 3- space for a specific lead group sessions
