The Get Up Stand Up Project launches as part of Our Big Gig on July 11th at the Kuumba Centre, Hepburn Road, St Pauls, BS2 8UD. The project brings together dance and music with some Bristol classics, original tunes and guest mixes. The idea is to build a new dance routine to teach in other areas of the city over the Summer.
The doors open at 12 and close at 6pm and includes the following workshops / sessions:
Dance selecta sound system dance class with dance activist and selecta Cleo Lake (Agbadja Ronin) 1-2pm
Krump basics with Jay Kellias 2-3.30pm
Scratch Choreography - help to build a new dance routine
4 - 5.30 or take part in a Krump session cypher.
The event ends at 6pm
