38 Children are so much more confident in the water
The local economy
• 85% of parents said their child could now swim and were happy to go back into the water. • 58% of parents said that their child was very confident in the water with a further 34% said they were somewhat confident. • 100% said they would now try a public pool at a quiet time.
Activity, health and leisure
Swimming has huge benefits for children, especially those with a learning disability or neurological disorder. It will build confidence in the water over the 10 sessions and will promote activity and leisure. We hope that children will go on afterwards to experience swimming at a mainstream setting with family and friends.
