Generation of a Youth Led Community Hub
Creating a dedicated community hub for children and young people in Arthurs Hill.
About the Project Creator
Success4All CIO (S4A) is a grassroots children and young people's charity, with a particular focus on education, based in the inner west of Newcastle upon Tyne. Since 2006, we have primarily created safe and homely environments within the community in the form of Learning Hubs, Clubs and Holiday Activities to promote educational attainment, skills development and inspire belief and confidence into the minds of the children and young people of our locality. We do this through the ethos of ‘young people learning from each other’ as we empower older youth to support their peers, helping them bridge gaps whilst developing their own skills. We devised the tutor-befriender program a decade and a half ago where young people, typically 16-17, have the opportunity to partake in accredited volunteering activities which support their efforts in enrolling in higher education and future employment. Initially Success4All was nomadic, working directly out of the locations where we were delivering services with agreement of the building owners however we began to settle in the West End of Newcastle.
Through our Home Languages Programme (The Language Collaboration Project), we celebrate linguistic diversity and opportunities afforded by multilingiualism. The project enables bilingual and multilingual students to gain Level 2 and 3 accreditations in their home languages, strengthening their academic journey. We also fill a vital gap for newly arrived secondary-age students by providing specialist EAL resources that help bridge language barriers and open doors to success.
As an AQA-recognised training centre and OFSTED-registered organisation, we take pride in our high standards and our grassroots approach
