About the Project Creator
The GL3 Community Hub is a small local charity (previously the Churchdown Neighborhood Partnership/Project) based in a former youth centre. GL3 Community Hub has transformed the centre to be sustainable, yet still provide high level multiple services. These services appeal to every aspect of the community with activities and clubs ranging from healthy living, crime prevention, sport, and cooking. This has helped to fill the void left by the youth centre as well as provide services that appeal more broadly across all age groups. The GL3 community Hub is run largely by volunteers and has won an award for their employability. The volunteering helps to develop skills and increase the confidence of volunteers in a working environment. The Garden Café has been a very popular hit making a friendly, informal environment to meet up with friends and enjoy a quality cup of coffee or tea, full English breakfast or a cheeky cup cake! The Garden Café also provides in house catering alongside our rooms that are available for hire. Rooms can be hired out for meetings, special events and parties at a reasonable cost and with suitable catering.
The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
