The upgrading of the floodlighting to Graig y Coed Penclawdd playing fields floodlighting has enhanced the sports facilities in the village. The lights have been used for training by Penclawdd RFC Juniors and Seniors, Penclawdd AFC Juniors and Seniors (including girls and women’s teams). Llwchwr Schools Rugby. The higher quality of the floodlighting complies with current standards for sports pitches greatly enhancing the experience for participants. Compared with the level of lighting achieved by the old units, energy costs have been controlled, yet with improved cover.
