The idea
Fleetwood Moves 2026 is a free outdoor live music, dance, circus and theatre festival for Fleetwood. The festival builds on the triumph of Fleetwood Moves 2024 in Memorial Park. We want to make 2026, even more exciting!
The event brings communities together with exciting programme of performances and participatory workshops.
The festival is underpinned by inclusivity, helping people attend who may otherwise be unable to access this type of opportunity.
A series of professional-led workshops and performances in the local community will ensure that as many people as possible in the local community have the chance to be involved. Including care home residents.
What we'll deliver
- Family friendly dance and live music event in July 2026
- Inclusive integrated dance workshops for the community
- Opportunities for local groups/schools to perform
- A diverse and accessible programme featuring theatre, dance, circus and theatre
- Free to attend
- Community consultation to design the festival
Why it's a great idea
Fleetwood Moves 2026 will bring people together for a celebratory day of live music, dance, circus and theatre.
The festival is underpinned by inclusivity and will support access for communities who may be living with disabilities or long-term health conditions.
Where people can't access the one-day event, such as those in care homes, the festival will come to them through the delivery of workshops and performances.
The performance programme will be developed with and for people from the local community.
Fleetwood Moves will offer performance opportunities for local artists and groups.
The festival will bring people into Fleetwood and support local businesses.
