A crowd funding initiative to provide gifts to children living in Ealing's temporary accommodation hostels this Christmas.
Ealing Council's hostels team want to make sure that all children living in one of our temporary accommodation hostels receive a gift this Christmas. All the families concerned are on low incomes and can find the additional pressure of providing gifts for their children over the festive period difficult. Priority will be given to families in shared facilities hostels because these are considered the most vulnerable. We will buy gifts for all children in this group aged 18 and under. The children living in temporary accommodation hostels change frequently however the information below provides a guide to how the donations will be spent. The maximum value of any gift will be £49. 5% of all donations received will be paid directly to Spacehive to host this collection.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Spreading a bit of Christmas cheer! Not only will this initiative benefit the children directly, it will also relieve pressure from parents who are struggling to provide gifts for their families at this time of year. For some of our families, this may be the only gift they receive this Christmas.
