Tenterden Folk Festival By Tenterden Folk Festival

Tenterden Folk Festival needs some new festival equipment to enable us to continue to promote the festival in a safe and professional manner for the benefit of performers, volunteers and audiences.

pledged of £8,707

Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

The main item on our shopping list is to expand our existing professional dance stage which is used for dance displays by hundreds of Morris dancer and folk dancers and others over the festival weekend. Other equipment on our list includes a new printer for the festival office for printing signs, news letters, badges, etc. before and during the annual four day festival. The temporary festival bar on the Recreation Ground would benefit from more benches freeing up more chairs for the Free Music Stage. We aim to purchase a badge making machine to produce badges for stewards and to sell to festival goers. We also need more hi vis safety jackets and lanyards for our increasing number of stewards and workforce. Finally we need to replace some old festival and information banners to clearly signpost venues and to publicise the festival generally. All this equipment will enablle us to continue to promote Tenterden Folk Festival in a professional and safe manner.

What we'll deliver:

  • A very special 30th Tenterden Folk Festival in 2023
  • Professional and safe festival in future years
  • High quality folk arts and music
  • Something for ervery one
