More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

We have everything in place to make a big impact over the coming years. We'll be planting wildflowers in the space put aside as community allotments space in the first instance so this coming summer will really count for bee populations and to maintain FPP as an oasis of natural beauty.

The local economy

The local economy

With the closure of Fenham Swimming Pool, there is less to attract customers to the library and local shops. The park and the events that will be held there will increase footfall, especially in the summer months.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We will be engaging with the community to organise events and use the space exactly how the local residents want it to be used.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

We have exciting ideas for expanding the range of events and uses of the park. Circus workshop anyone? Perhaps a choir concert!

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

Getting out and about in a garden to meet with family or friends (when we can) provides a healthy diversion (mentally and physically). The community allotments space will build on that - we intend for this to be convenient for everyone including those using a wheelchair.
