By Protective Behaviours Consortium CIC
Protective Behaviours Consortium CIC has a studio training room at The Custard Factory in Birmingham where valuable training takes place however needs equipping.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
Protective Behaviours Consortium CIC deliver training courses and provisions to the community based around the right to feel safe.
These courses enable people to use strategies to keep themselves safe all the time and are ideal for contributing towards ending violence and violent communities as well as enabling individuals to become empowered and build self confidence and assertiveness.
Already Protective Behaviours Consortium has made a difference to many individuals and now with the procurement of many more courses and workshops we are looking to develop our training studio so that it is fully equipped to deliver the courses effectively and so that it promotes the right messages once the room has been entered by participants.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Protective Behaviours training has a proven track record and we wish to deliver more courses in our new training facility. We have also introduced a specialist Protective Behaviours Course for those who work in the field of Child Sexual Exploitation. The evidence based programme is designed to support young people at risk of sexual exploitation and grooming. The Course prepares facilitators to deliver the programme.
Safer Schools is a Programme designed for bringing Protective Behaviours into the Primary School environment. From 2005 to 2014 the numbers of participants attending Protective Behaviours UK Courses ranged from 800 to 1000 participants each year, with the majority of commissioning organisations being from the Statutory/ public sector in particular Children and family services (including education) and youth support and youth justice.
