Hi my name is Emily, I head up an online collaborative art space that works to show how art can be a great tool for people struggling with negative mental health. My sketching art club over the lockdowns saw 50+ people each day drawing on a theme to help with anxiety and loneliness which what was the inspiration behind what Artists Clubhouse is now.
Last year I was recognised for my work with the NHS Trust mental health art trail in Worcester, Redditch and Hereford. I also recently came up with a creative course for the Worcester Innovation team, this was turned in to a video blog with the whole team really enjoying the tasks set (this can be seen via Youtube here: https://l.instagram.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2Fo0RfZaghJoQ&e=ATMmTzO5UHnlOjwUKF8NP5reIzEwxPhYlfIVGx0XJwkQA7VFeT2v95Qw5FH1zRT4g5H9ABZhvpXOKn7gjzcI4JwMq0DOTtEWAsFn_w&s=1).
I have just received funding from The Arts Society Worcester for a project called Sketch Happy due to take place in May supporting those with chronic illnesses and long term illnesses or treatments.
