The idea
The Objective for this project is to create a large paint wall made of paper or fabric to create a large art canvas as a stall at Malvern Pride. I would have paints/inks ready for people to come along and express themselves all over the canvas. The aim is for people to be able to get their emotions out in a positive and creative way rather than suppressing them or letting them present in a negative way.
Goals
To show people a creative and positive way to express emotions and anger.
To encourage people to try a creative outlet/hobby to help better their mental health.
To signpost people to other helpful resources on our website.
To help people connect with like minded people.
To create a positive piece of original art that can represent the LGBTQ+ community and can be given to another venue for display after the PRIDE event.
What we'll deliver
- Create large canvas at Malvern Pride event
- Supply paints/inks for people to use
- Man the stand so that it is safe to use for all
- Facilitate the creation of a large original piece of artwork to represent the Malvern community
Why it's a great idea
Access and use of creative projects and the arts have huge benefits to mental health and coping with stress, anxiety and depression. My aim is to encourage people to try art in a way that is different and fun, no experience or perceived talent is needed to join in this project and the concept can be used by anyone at home if they feel they need an outlet. Emotions can sometimes overwhelm us and this is a perfect representation of a positive way to let it all out.
Steps to get it done

Malvern Pride takes place at the end of July 2022 so I would need to know if I had the funding by mid-June.
