The idea
Enfield Cycle Club will provide an exciting place for young riders to enhance their cycling skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Through our immersive BikeAgility sessions, children navigate dynamic obstacle courses featuring ramps, cones, and imaginative tracks that boost confidence, balance, and bike control.
Packed with games and challenges, these sessions build essential cycling techniques.
Whether mastering tight turns or conquering their first ramp, each child is encouraged to thrive while having lots of fun.
We will also be taking the children for a ride around the school playing field
• Beginner Basics: Safe starts, steering practice, smooth braking, and handling small ramps and cones for our youngest riders.
• Skill Challenges: Timed cone slaloms, balance games, and creative ramp tricks for children ready to test their abilities.
• Group Rides: Social rides through Enfield’s parks and green spaces, complete with picnic breaks and nature spotting.
What we'll deliver
- Weekly BikeAgility sessions
- Bikes for the sessions
- Safe soft surface to cycle on
Why it's a great idea
Cycling offers a wealth of benefits that extend far beyond fitness. Through our club’s supportive environment, children not only strengthen their bodies but also build confidence, resilience, and lifelong friendships.
Our approach blends physical development with play, creativity, and teamwork.
• Physical Fitness: Cycling enhances cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and overall endurance, laying the foundations for a healthy lifestyle.
• Coordination and Balance: Navigating ramps and cone courses refines balance, reaction time, and spatial awareness—skills that help in all sports and daily activities.
• Confidence and Independence: Each new skill mastered, each challenge overcome, gives children a sense of accomplishment that boosts their confidence and independence.
• Community and Friendship: Group rides and team activities build camaraderie and teach the importance of encouraging and supporting one another.
