The idea
Cuddington & Sandiway Youth Club, a thriving hub for over 50 young people weekly, has been fostering community engagement for more than four years. The village had not had a Youth Club for several years, but a group of committed residents and young people worked together and were able to reopen the building in 2021. We’ve been fostering community engagement ever since. To enhance our commitment to young people’s fitness, we aim to hire enthusiastic Youth Workers who can inspire and organise inclusive sports in a wider range of club activities such as football, basketball, table tennis, and badminton. Our goal is to encourage participation from boys, girls, and individuals of all skill levels, ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported. Alongside promoting active lifestyles, we plan to upgrade our current outdated strip lighting to modern, energy-efficient LED lights. This improvement will not only provide better illumination but also contribute to sustainability by reducing energy.
