The idea
Career Quest Enfield is a community-led project helping people gain employment, build confidence, and discover new career paths. Through interactive events, we connect attendees with employers, mentors, and training providers while offering CV support, professional headshots, and workshops in networking and entrepreneurship. Our events attract young adults and career changers from Enfield and beyond who feel stuck or unsure about their next step. With funding, we’ll host two large-scale events in 2025–2026 at venues like the Dugdale Centre and Enfield Libraries, featuring guest speakers and practical career development sessions. I founded Career Quest after overcoming my own challenges growing up in Enfield, to show others that with the right guidance and opportunity, a different path is possible.

Why it's a great idea
We are already making a real difference. Across our last three events, we’ve helped develop over 37 CVs, including 11 written personally by me. Of those, 7 people have since secured employment — proof that direct, practical support works.
We’ve also hosted active hiring companies offering both entry-level and graduate roles, as well as training providers helping attendees gain new qualifications and industry pathways. At our most recent event, five people signed up for construction management training, and a travel agency hired two new team members.
With the right funding, we can expand these outcomes — connecting even more residents with opportunities, increasing employer engagement, and continuing to support Enfield residents who want to work, retrain, or grow professionally.
Our goal isn’t just to run events — it’s to create lasting change by improving employability, raising confidence, and helping people realise there’s a positive path forward, no matter where they start.
