Kirklees Women Rising: Empower-Her is not just a campaign; it's a movement grounded in lived experiences, community resilience, and the steadfast belief that every woman deserves the opportunity to rise, heal, and lead.
Our mission is to empower women, particularly those who have experienced domestic violence, servitude, or systemic disadvantage.
We aim to help them reclaim their voices, rebuild their confidence, and embrace their power.
This work is deeply personal to me. As a mother of five daughters, I have navigated the challenges of domestic abuse and the constraints of domestic servitude. There were times when I felt invisible, voiceless, and trapped.
However, education became my lifeline. Coaching guided my path, and faith in something greater provided me the Courage to believe that life could change.
It wasn't an overnight transformation; it was a slow and painful journey that taught me the importance of trust, sisterhood, and the power of being seen.
That's why I founded the Empowered Mothers System and now lead Kirklees Women Rising: Empower-Her.
Our campaigns are designed not only to raise awareness but also to activate real change. We aim to reach women wherever they are—whether they are in crisis, rebuilding their lives, or ready to take on leadership roles—and walk alongside them with compassion, tools, and community support.
Our campaigns focus on:
- Shining a light on hidden forms of abuse and inequality that many women endure silently.
- Challenging the stigma and cultural silence surrounding domestic servitude and coercive control.
- Creating safe spaces for women to share their stories, access support, and build networks.
- Equipping women with the skills, mindset, and confidence to lead in their homes, communities, and careers.
- Influencing systems from local services to policy—so they reflect the real needs and voices of women in Kirklees.
We believe that when one woman rises, she lifts others with her. Our campaigns are not about charity; they are about justice, dignity, and legacy.
I see my daughters growing into confident, self-aware young women, and I want that for every mother, sister, and daughter in our community.
At KWR Empower-Her, trust is our foundation. We don’t just speak for women; we listen, learn, and lead together.
- Healing is possible.
- Leadership is possible.
- Rising is not just a dream; it is a right.
