We will help support people who are long term unemployed acquire skills that will support them to find long term sustainable employment.

Our programme is based within Nechells and we will be working with free@last on Nechells Park Road to deliver the training. We will work with unemployed people to better their chances of finding long term sustainable employment. We will help them, 1. Create/ update their CV's 2. Create Personal Statements and Cover Letters 3. Conduct basic job Searches 4. Interview Techniques 5. Create links with employers We will deliver 1-2-1 and group mentoring sessions that will help people find longer term employment opportunities which will help them navigate through the current cost of living crisis.

What we'll deliver:

  • We will work with 20 people to update their CV's
  • We will mentor 20 people to acquire skills
  • We will support 20 people into employment or training opportunities

Why it's a great idea:

We will increase the employability of 20 people thus bettering their life chances and support them through the current cost of living crisis. We will work with these people to enable them to be in the best possible position to find long term sustainable employment opportunities.

Steps to get it done:

  • Set dates for group mentoring sessions
  • Start to send information to referral partners for clients
  • Register 20 clients from referral units
  • Book in 1-2-1 and group mentoring slots
  • Create partnerships with locally based employers (businesses)

This project is to support those who have been in long term unemployment and give them the confidence, knowledge, skills and experience to create a better life for themselves and their families.
