Neurofeedback is a non-invasive therapy. Using real time feedback from EEG monitoring, it measures electric brain impulses. Brain cells communicate through thoughts and emotions to produce brain activity. However, many people suffer from a lack of cognitive control. Using Neurofeedback we will help to regulate what they are feeling. Neurofeedback displays brain activity in real-time usually using EEG, to teach someone how to modulate their brain function. From improved focus and better sleep to increased emotional regulation and improved cognitive function, anyone can find value in neurofeedback. The therapy helps by re-training the brain. It relies on the principle of neuroplasticity, which refers to your brain’s ability to reorganize its structure, functions, or connections. Through a series of sessions using multiple mental exercises that are personalized to their situation. They will gradually re-write their brain’s neural pathways to reduce symptoms of the condition.

What we'll deliver:

  • People will see that their quality of life will get better.
  • People will be able to interact with others without feelings of inferiority or trepidation.
  • Ability to cope in difficult situations

Why it's a great idea:

There are many people who are adverse to taking medication to deal with their mental health is due to the potential of side effects. Neurofeedback has the potential to revolutionize mental health treatment, offering a new approach for those who do not want to use the traditional methods. Also many parents are not comfortable giving their children medication as they feel that young minds should not be subjected to mind altering substances even if it is meant to be beneficial. Due to the non- invasive nature of our treatment parents are more comfortable with allowing their children to have this type of treatment. Finally because we use a lot of games to help retrain the brain our treatment is a lot of fun and helps those receiving treatment to overcome the stigma and feelings of being weak minded individual.

Steps to get it done:

  • My greatest milestone will be to my program to a new audience
  • Having my own equipment.
  • Being told by a people that I was able to help them with their mental wellbeing
