More about our impact
The environment
The lake will now be fairly free of algae and weeds which will help local wildlife. Improved the area to encourage to take interest and respect wildlife. Use of solar power in place of electrical system. Encouraging bats and owls.
The local economy
It has improved a community space to make it more accessible and friendly for all
Volunteering, jobs & education
The information boards help to instruct visitors on the history and ecological aspects of a key area in which they live. The school now uses the area more in education projects
Arts, culture & heritage
The history of the lake is advertised and people encouraged to look further
Activity, health and leisure
An improved, free local space to visit and 'get outdoors'.
