The idea
Earley Cricket Club has been a part of the local community since 2007. Having grown to 2 adult teams and looking to add a youth section, it is a club which is always looking to the future. To do this, the club needs to stay afloat in these difficult times and continue its aim to build a pavilion at its ground in Bulmershe School.
What we'll deliver
- Youth training sessions
- A solar powered, environmentally positive pavilion
- Wildlife homes on the pavilion
Why it's a great idea
The club receives many applications from families asking for youth training. With suitable funding, when the season resumes, this can be delivered. The pavilion will provide shelter and secure changing facilities for the school and the club. It will be positive for the environment, as it will be renewably fueled and incorporate bird and insect homes. The resources used to build the timber building will be offset by the planting of trees and the gift of trees to local residents.
Steps to get it done
- Lease agreed
- Permissions granted
- Funding secured
- Building started
- Building finished
- Building opened
