Workshop participants reported that they feel that this term they have seen improvements in levels of skill across the group: "What I've seen this term is I think everyone has improved. I think that's down to Emma. She knows how to bring the best out of everyone, and I think that's excellent." "It seems to me like the emphasis has moved. In general, the group has moved from just learning your lines enough to say them, to how to say them, and thinking more about the character's motivation and power play in each scene etc." A strong sense of support and camaraderie was felt as a result of attending the workshops: "There's a lot of really good relationships within the group and there's definitely an element of us all caring about each other and supporting each other through other things." "If somebody told me tomorrow there's no more drama, that's it, I'd be actually quite fearful about how it was going to affect me."

We were able to continue with an activity that improves the quality of life of people attending. Participants reported feeling energised, happier and more positive through being part of the High Spirits drama group: "This group provides a means for me to express myself. And that's what I need." "Coming along makes me feel better. I've really appreciated it, even when I felt really low, still coming and having a laugh."
