Our aspirations are to create a digital tour of the Fans Museum in Sunderland. To reach that goal we first need to create a digital log and photograph the whole collection. With your help we can start the process by cataloguing our most iconic items from Kevin Phillips' European Golden Boot to Jimmy Montgomery's European Cup winners medal.
To create this we need to use professional collection management software and professional photography. Due to Covid-19, the Fans Museum has lost all of it's interaction with the community and travelling fans. By creating this digital project will enable us to interact again with our local community, as well as with anybody anywhere in the world.
What we'll deliver:
- Professionally photograph the iconic collection of items
- Catalogue the iconic collection on a professional management software system
- Share the digital collection on the Fans Museum website
Why it's a great idea:
Due to Covid-19, the Fans Museum has lost the ability to interact with the local community. By digitising the Fans Museum collection and bringing it online we will be able to bring the collection to the homes of the local community and beyond. We want to support those who suffer harder day to day remits such as dementia, autism, loneliness and isolation.
Steps to get it done:
- Photograph all iconic items
- Log iconic items in collection managements system
