Volunteering, jobs & education
Many of the children that we met had never experienced sign language before and learning to spell their name was the first step in their sign language journey. Many schools talked about the children signing rather than saying their names during future morning registrations, and many children were reported as having taken their new found signing skills home with them and sharing with family members and friends.
