The idea
Dear Friends of the Cavan Centre,
Damage from Storm Éowyn has severely impacted our service delivery and key facilities, including the Zip Line, Low Ropes Course, Nature Walkway / Enchanted Forest and Campfire area. While immediate safety measures have been taken, extensive work remains to restore full operations and ensure our Centre can continue to provide safe, engaging, and meaningful experiences for the young people and families who rely on our services.
What we'll deliver
- Tree felling damaged and dead trees
- Making green open spaces for our young people from the NEIC
- Safe Outdoor Activities
Why it's a great idea
Approximately, 3,000 people avail of the services of the Cavan Centre per year.
While we are actively seeking funding to fully restore our services, time is of the essence as we strive to have all of the Centre’s activities operational before our busy Summer Programme. It's crucial that we provide the young people with the residential experience they deserve. The immediate removal of the damaged trees is essential to making this possible.
Steps to get it done
- Tree Felling & Clearing
- Reconstruction of Zip Line
- Reconstruction of Low Ropes Course
- Reopening of the Nature Walkway
