More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

The trishaws are ridden to where they are needed. This means that neither the trishaws or the elderly who ride in them are having a negative impact on the environment through the use of cars or public transport.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We hope to expand Cycling Without Age Chester to other areas of the City and we will be looking for additional fund raising opportunities as well as more volunteers to pilot the trishaws and co ordinate the running of the operation.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

This project is all about promoting activity for both the people enjoying the rides as well as the pilots operating the trishaws. It is a leisure pastime which most elderly have not been able to experience before and it has delivered a new and exciting initiative to Chester. We are now in contact with social prescribers who will use our service to help the elderly who are struggling with their mental health due to isolation and loneliness.
