With the impact of COVID 19 on sport, the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) has suspended all cricket until at least July 1st and probably a good deal longer. As a result Cutthorpe have lost our traditional ways of raising funds whilst still having many of the same bills to pay.
The ECB will donate a brilliant £100 to us if we raise £100 towards our target. We want to ensure that there is a place for everyone to come together to play and enjoy cricket (keep an eye out for the women's sofball team) it will be more impoartant than ever once this is all over!
What we'll deliver:
- Help pay for critical overheads and key running costs
- Cover ground maintenance and upkeep of the facilities
- Help pay for essential repairs to the buildings
Why it's a great idea:
As the cricket season has not yet started and may not start at all, all our fundraisers are cancelled and we have no reliable income.
We love our club. it's a special place and we want it to come out of this stronger, to re-engage adults and kids alike in sport, exercise, activity and the love of the game; to keep developing skills, aspiration, ambition and self confidence.
With your help we will be able to - as soon as possible once it is safe to do so
Steps to get it done:
- Plan for long term impact of social distancing on the club
- Pay for essential overheads
- Run crowdfunding campaign to collect funds
- Plan for the return of cricket and football
