Creating Together - Jacks Place Table
We need a multi purpose table, large enough for 18 people to sit around & undertake the many activities that we offer at our day centre based out on a working farm in the beautiful Malvern countryside
About the Project Creator
- Jacks Place Care was established as a Limited company in 2008, but in July 2023 we changed our status to a Community Interest Company (CIC) as our primary focus is delivering social and economic benefits to our community.
- We offer a bespoke indoor and outdoor based ‘care therapy’ service where clients can be away from home and engage in a range of social and recreational pursuits including creative activities, sports and physical activities, horticultural activities, gardening, cooking, feeding and looking after the animals and maintenance of the farm.
- We promote social interaction, including opportunities for meetings between people who might not otherwise come into contact with each other – we enable and support healthy lifestyles through the provision of safe and accessible green infrastructure and we offer a range of creative and physical activities – a need that is not currently being met elsewhere –since the closure of the Cube in Malvern.
- We help to maintain a high quality of life for residents, some of whom have limited access to alternative facilities further afield.
- It is also important to note that without a service such as Jacks Place (the only day care facility in the District), many of our clients would live an isolated lifestyle with limited opportunities for social interaction and outdoor recreation in nature; the health benefits of which are well documented. We currently provide an essential service to the social and physical wellbeing of the disabled community within the District and would love to grow into more of a community well being hub – that is our vision for the future!
- Our activities are driven by a social mission and all our profits are reinvested into that mission. We wish to encourage more community involvement and engagement in the future to benefit our local community at large.
