CREATE will visit the parishes around Bognor over the summer with a detached vehicle. Bringing young people from our project to help us connect with the community & identify the needs of the area. With the support of local artists & sports coaches we hope to build links with the parishes to understand the needs of young people in their area. Providing six 3-hour sessions (2 in each parish – Aldwick, Pagham & Bersted) with 3 members of staff (youth worker, artist & sports coach) with equipment, vehicle and refreshments for the summer programme. With your support we can CREATE a summer for young people that will make a difference. CREATE is a project that engages with young people working to make a difference in their community. We aim to tackle anti-social behaviour, build awareness of communities & develop social skills for young people. We want young people to have ownership of the project and empower them to make positive changes to benefit the young people & parishes of Bognor.

What we'll deliver:

• Provide young people with positive activities in Bognor
• Promote healthy active lifestyles by providing sport opportunities supporting their emotional health and well being
• Develop young people's creativity with the support of local artisits

Why it's a great idea:

This project will enable young people to positively engage them with their community over the summer. The great thing about this CREATE is that there is already an established weekly youth group at the Phoenix Centre for them to attend once the summer activities come to a close. At the moment they are working with a local drama teacher to put to gather a drama piece around CREATE and what it stands to perform to the local community.

CREATE are currently working on 3 projects. Our journey aims to involve others from the 3 local parishes to engage in the project after the summer to continue the project as well as continue supporting the young people involved. CREATE has built a following in the local community with individuals, groups and businesses. Young people that currently attend CREATE are gaining skills in a multiple areas. The staff support and guide them to engage in activities to support them holistically. The young people aim to enhance their own and others health and well-being by engaging others in community activities, during this project we will be inviting other young people to support us in a We are also working alongside NHS England with their Smuggling to romance project where we will be developing some art to share the messages of smuggling.
