The idea
Our project will enable the museum to provide educational resources in history of policing, the historic building we are in and the social history of Gloucestershire. Along with these we will have an illustrated history trail for families and create some fun activities for the holidays. Our goal is to offer a family friendly space in the centre of town that is welcoming to families.
Volunteers will be trained to delivery the activities and learn how to develop the school resources with a professional.

Why it's a great idea
The main benefit to our project will be to have the museum grow as a community asset in the town and work with a variety of stakeholders in the the development of future outcomes for the museum.
Schools will have a wonderful historic resources available to them to on the doorstep. The volunteers will learn new skills and be able to share these skills with new volunteers who will be attracted by our vibrant outreach into the community,
The museum will become a much used resource in the community.
