We are a food focused charity providing support, education and training. Our community kitchen is based in the heart of the community and we provide a weekly schedule of events including a food bank, free community lunches and free to access cooking lessons for children and adults. To date we have made over 75,000 meals, distributed over 40,000 bags of food and taught hundreds of cooking lessons at no cost to our recipients. Our mission is to remove any financial barriers to food education. Our services benefit our guests mental and physical health, lowers social isolation and increases community cohesion. On average we support 300 every single week.
We have also developed a kitchen garden where we grow food to cook in our kitchen. Guests take an active role in the care and development of the garden. This was significantly reduced in size during the summer and now we are looking to regain growing and community space.
