Watchet has caught three shipping containers, snatched from their global wanderings, they stand hobbled but proud on the Watchet harbour side.
Risen from the rust becoming four artists studios and an exhibition space. These iron ladies have roamed the four corners of the Globe and have enabled safe passage to all manner of precious products. But now it is their turn to rest, refitted, spruced up and have good work come to them.

What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Because art matters and the creative industries need support. A not-for-profit organisation, Creatives Club CIC*, has been set up to steer the project, formed from members of Creatives Club, a thriving, monthly networking meeting on the last Thursday of every month in Watchet’s Esplanade Club. Plans for Contains Art grew from the findings of a 2011 study ‘Creatives Uncovered: A Creative Workhub for Western Somerset’, undertaken by the Making the Links project funded with Somerset County Council’s Creative Industries Development Fund. The project is part of a strategy proposed by Making the Links for developing a supportive infrastructure for the creative sector.
Steps to get it done:
We want to make our supporters and funders part of the picture so, if you pledge £10, we will send you an invite to the preview of our opening postcard exhibition 'Wish you were here'. You will be invited to choose one of the postcards in exchange for your donation!
