As per our delivery plan we delivered 6, 2 hour sessions for bothThe Up and Downs group and for LAC group.
Over those sessions children were offered a variety of activites to engage with, each week had an opportunity to learn a new skill, play in a way of their choosing, get creative with a variety of creative expereinces, enjoy food from the fire, take part in the preparation and cooking of the food, enjoy story and games and feel part of a community.
The routine of the sessions was the same which helped the children feel settled and know what to expect. At the end of each session we had time to reflect on what we had done and children were able to express what they would like to do for the following week.
This helped build ownership and autonomy and we ensured that every voice was heard.
As well as the children that attended the sessions, their parents and carers were also able to have time to join in the activites but also time for them to chat and support each others, giving them time for them.
