The idea
We're so excited about our big move and creating a vibrant community space that inspires great projects and brings people together. This kiln shed will be an integral part of this. Hiring the kiln out at affordable rates will bring artists, schools and community group together and to the Art4Space centre building links and connections.
Art4Space incorporate hand made tiles in their community mosaic art projects and the results are stunning. In school projects it enables children as young as three years to contribute making shapes and patterns out of clay and includes older people in projects where they find mosaicing difficult.
What we'll deliver

Why it's a great idea
The kiln shed will allow Art4Space to offer a great resource to the wider community and will enable us to run tile making courses in the new centre. The shed is so important as we cannot have the kilns in the centre due to health and safety constraints. Having the shed will mean we can be so much more productive, we will be able to put drying shelves up and a have slick clay/ firing operation running. We have had so many enquiries for kiln hire and with this shed we will be able to accommodate them all.
Steps to get it done
- We've seen the shed we want to buy and we've got the men to install it!
