Community Garden Outdoor Classroom

We are getting so excited now we are now only 22 days away from starting to do our community build. We are working with some really great companies like Ramboll a structual enginnering company who are very supportive of our work with those with mental illness and MACE who build the Shard. We have been working with them really closely to turn our initial plans into 3D CAD designs that will go off this week to get them cut out of plywood. The wood will turn up on site in a few weeks as a giant flat pack which will be assembled on site by local volunteers in the community. We have been really luck to have Lewisham council to match fund what we originally funded which has enabled us to get to this point of seeing our plans of an outdoor classroom come to life.

With 2 days to go we realised if we qualified for the small faith fund we were still £21 off target. We were lucky that one of the dads at our after school club pledged the final amount to get us to target. As you can see our children are really excited about the fact we can now afford our outdoor classroom. This Sunday we are so excited that we are about to break ground and start work on building the foundations. We are so lucky to have such an awesome community who helped us hit total
