Rainy Day Trust are a small charity (currently two FT members of staff) with big plans! We provide help and services for eligible beneficiaries nationwide and want to extend our services and provision of free of cost activities to the local communities in Shropshire.
We are the only charity in the UK who exist solely to provide assistance to those working (or have worked) in the Home Improvement/DIY/homeware/garden industries, as we recognise that freelance/self employed contractors etc often fall into a grey area whioch means they are unable to be eligible for assistance from other sources, including government assistance. We're here to provide financial grants as well as a host of support and advisory services for those in need of our assistance, including debt/legal/housng advice, apprenticeship training & support, mental health services (telephone counselling) & much more.
We aim to help those who have fallen on hard times and have no where else to turn to for assistance. At the very least, we can offer support and signposting for other services/charities if not eligible via our own grant criteria.
