More about our impact
The environment
Little Actors ensured there was no waste. No photocopying and print materials were double sided so could be used for other purposes too. As many props and costumes as possible were borrowed or reused from previous projects
Volunteering, jobs & education
The project created jobs for 5 arts practitioners of whom 3 are local to CWaC. Particiption in the arts is an informal education in its own right. Particiapnts learned new skills such as stage management, dance, line learning improved memory skills etc. To bring a project such as this together requires communicaiton skills to be developed and team work was built. The project mostly had participants who did all the show preparation volunteering too, with the support of an additional volunteer not directly invovled in the show themselves.
Arts, culture & heritage
The project created a new show involving dance, singing and drama. This was devised and created and presented in the heart of the Neston community.
Activity, health and leisure
The dance element and warm ups each week promoted physical activity and health. Participating in the arts improves health and well being including mental health. A sense of well being was achieved for the participants. As they chose to do the activity it was taken up in their leisure time as a hobby.
