Yinrgy wellness CIC By Yinrgy wellness CIC

Help us provide inclusive activities and hobbies, leadership skills and certification for children and young people in Swale and the surrounding communities.

Sittingbourne Delivery stage

£40
pledged of £17,838

Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

At Yinrgy, we deliver positive mental and physical outcomes for children and young people (CYP) by providing opportunities to engage in sports sessions and hobbies, that allows girls and boys aged 12 to 18 years old to train, develop, and grow together with opportunities that may not have been previously accessible along with an opportunity for 14+ year olds to achieve a Developing Leadership Skills level One Qualification. Swale is an area of multiple deprivation in Kent that is being hit hard by the current cost of living crisis and lack of support interventions. The funding will help to tackle social anxiety, stress, loneliness, low self esteem and behaviours. We are partnering with local businesses to provide opportunities to marginalised young people where these opportunities may not currently be available, and can improve leadership skills, mindset and future prospects.

What we'll deliver:

  • Minimum of 1x2 hour training sessions per week for 12 Months,
  • Provide hobby sessions for Cookery, Art, Drama, Music, Horse Riding
  • Supply access to local therapists
  • Provide OCNLR Level 1 Award in Developing Leadership Skills for 14+

Why it's a great idea:

The benefits that the funding will achieve: A direct impact & responding to a need for teens aged 12-18 Promotion of healthy activities and hobbies. Reduction of the negative impact of the cost of living crisis. Improved equality of access in a disadvantaged community of deprivation. Increased usage of community based facilities. Bringing together young people from diverse communities. Addressing a lack of provision. Leadership certification opportunities for 14+ year olds Improve focus, motivation, build resilience and coping strategies Tackling social isolation, anxiety and loneliness.
