Clifton Cricket Club - A village, volunteer run sports club at the heart of the local community. We provide a facility for people of all ages, genders & backgrounds to enjoy & play the game of cricket at the beautiful Claybridge ground. We look to engage with the local community as much as possible and under normal circumstances we hold the village's biggest community event - The Annual Duck Race which sees several thousand local people come and enjoy the setting. Unofrtuantely this will be the first year in a long time that this will not be possible but wil lreturn as soon as we are responsibly able to as will the cricket itself!
We are running this campaign to ensure that the volunteer run, not for profit club can continue essential maintenance which will ensure the club will remain agile in responding to when the Lockdown has eased enough for us to be able to operate again.
