Business CheshireCheshire-based mental health charity Chapter has launched a crowd-funding campaign to provide Christmas meals for people across the region who will be isolated during the festive season. \n\nOne of Chapter’s clients, who attended the Christmas event in 2019, said: “The Christmas meal was a life saver. I had something to look forward to after being unwell and after Christmas I felt I knew more people at Chapter.”

AboutMyAreaCheshire-based mental health charity Chapter has launched a crowd-funding campaign to provide Christmas meals for people across the region who will be isolated during the festive season. \n\nChapter is seeking support from people in the community to host a Christmas event that will connect people in Cheshire who are living with serious mental illnesses and may otherwise spend Christmas Day alone.
Chester charity provides free Christmas meal for people with mental ill-health after community support
Chester StandardChapter Mental Health hosted a free festive meal for its service users over the holiday season.\n\nThe mental health charity organised the event for 45 of its service users just before Christmas to support their well-being at what can be a very difficult time of year.\n\nClare Ashworth, strategic lead for funding at Chapter, said: “Last year, Christmas was difficult for our service users living with mental ill-health as the lockdown meant many of them were isolated from their support networks.”
