Enfield Town Business Association was formed by businesses in Enfield Town to represent the interests of businesses and the local community that it serves.
Concerned about the decline of our historic Market Town, at the beginning of 2018 it was decided that in order to re-establish Enfield Town as the once thriving shopping destination of the Borough, help was needed to achieve their objectives.
It had been identified that there had been a lack cohesion within the businesses, local authority and partner organizations including the Police.
Accordingly, Mark Rudling was employed part time as Community Town Centre Manager.
Apart from his regular management duties communicating with businesses, Mark has 2 particular objectives:
Firstly to brighten up the high streets with hanging baskets to make the environment more attractive to customers visiting Enfield Town, and secondly to bring Christmas lights back to Enfield after an absence of several years.
Many will have noticed that Mark has succeeded with delivering hanging baskets thanks to the generous support of local businesses and community groups.
The Christmas lights project is now in his sights, which is why he is now working with Spacehive to raise funds. Enfield Council has agreed to match fund local community projects and the Business Association is delighted that Christmas lights in the Town is a project worthy of their support.
