The revived Enfield Town Business Association is raising funds to finance festive lights in 2018 & bring the spirit of Christmas back to the streets of Enfield Town for all the community to enjoy.
Enfield Town, once the jewel in the borough's crown, is now a shadow of it's former self. Like many other UK town centres, Enfield has many long term vacant shops in the high streets making it appear run down & unwelcoming. Retailers are finding business challenging because of high overheads combined with competition from the internet. For the survival of our town centres, high streets need to be more attractive & welcoming places for to the community to visit & spend leisure time. This is particularly the case at Christmas time, when the magic of Christmas touches the hearts of both young and old. For several years there have been no festive lights throughout Enfield Town, & the local community have registered their disappointment at the lack of Christmas spirit within their town centre, largely due to the lack of Christmas lights. The Enfield Town Business Association want to bring the magic back to Enfield Town for Christmas by raising funds for festive street lights in 2018.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Festive lights will bring the spirit of Christmas back to the community in Enfield Town and encourage customers to buy from their local shops. By supporting local businesses, people are supporting the local economy and the many local people who work in local shops! There is no Christmas spirit when buying on-line!
