Christleton Sports Club are a friendly community club supporting junior and open age sport for all sexes and genders. We have a strong community presence providing recreational respite for all.
Football and cricket has been played in the parish since the 19th Century with established teams.
In 1976, the Sports Club moved from the first parish field to its current location in the extended King George V playing field location through the aid of a sports foundation grant.
The Club is run on an entirely volunary basis and backed by a strong constitution. We hold a long term lease, leased from the Parish Council, on our current premises.
Entirely self funding from member subscriptions and fundraising activities, the Club work hard to maintain high operational standards and extrelemy well maintaned sporting facilities. As recently as 2021 one of our voulnteers was awarded the County unsung hero award for their tireless work in bringing together communities.
