The idea
Chester Community Music Festival will showcase a wide range of musical genres, from classical to theatre, jazz to pop and everything in between. The festival will feature:
• One large main stage with live performances from over 15 local acts, including concert orchestras, wind/brass/jazz bands and choirs
• Family-friendly activities such as drumming workshops and interactive sessions for children
• Pop-up refreshment stall from the park’s own café, Fika
• Information stalls promoting our community organisations to encourage others to join
• Accessible facilities to ensure participation for all, including those with disabilities
The festival will operate from 12:00 to 20:00 each day, with free entry to encourage broad community attendance.

Why it's a great idea

Steps to get it done
- Engaging contractors to provide staging/sound/other physical features of the festival (we already have this in place)
- Securing the venue (already done)
- Confirming the performers and curating an event timetable
- Promoting the event across local and social media, and through a website
- Opening the festival to the wider community on the given dates
