Chester Community Music Festival is a not-for-profit organisation run by a committee of experienced practitioners in the field of amateur and professional music.
Our aim is simple: to provide opportunities for our area's talented musicians to showcase their talents and bring music to the attention of the wider community in the hope of engaging both new members and new supporters alike.
On the committee is Jan Modelski of Modelski Music, an organisation who are no strangers to the community music scene having just celebrated their 25th year of amateur music making. As the parent organisation of seven of the area’s community ensembles, they have curated and managed past concerts in prestigious local venues such as Storyhouse, Chester Cathedral, Chester Town Hall and Cholmondeley Castle. He is joined by Modelski Music's events organiser Samantha Mills, who pairs her vast personal experience as a performer with a background in business financial planning to ensure this project stays true to both its aims and its budget. Jan and Sam are joined on the committee by Olli and Rachel Bentley from ORB Sound & Lighting, who will provide consultancy on the technical aspects of the event. Their event repertoire is vast, having provided high quality technical solutions for countless festivals and outdoor events across Cheshire and North Wales.
