Updates
Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been to visit the Mountain Trike head office to check on production and delivery of our Walking Wheelchair (MT) and we are still on course for delivery in July. I spoke at the Hoole Community Centre in April to the over 55 Club about the trike and other accessible scooters which was very well received. I also visited the Go Outdoor stand at the National Outdoor Expo where I spoke to a variety of guests and visitors about the project. Further updates to follow….
Here's a quick update since we hit our target (once again our thanks to those people who made donations): there's been some delays in manufacturing due to Covid and the impact this has had on getting parts means that delivery of the Walking Wheelchair (Mountain Trike) is expected in July but in the meantime... Having completed a risk assessment, we have been visiting the Countess of Chester Country Park to negotiate routes and ensure that all the gates are Walking Wheelchair (Mountain Trike) accessible The Walking Wheelchair (Mountain Trike) has raised a lot of interest already and is advertised on the Park's bulletin board We are planning a launch event in July - more news of that to follow We have planned a series of Public Speaking events, the first of which will take place at Hoole Community Centre on the 20th April and further events will be publicised Chester Cycling Hub recently serviced my own Walking Wheelchair (Mountain Trike) and are happy to offer their services in maintaining the new trike I've attended weekly events using my Walking Wheelchair (Mountain Tike) involving Nordic Walking, Rambling and Mindfulness all of which take place at the Countess of Chester Country Park - more information on these events is available on the Countess of Chester website
I have fantastic news. I have reached my Spacehive target and have over 100 per cent funding for my walking wheelchair/mountain trike project. I'm so looking forward to placing the order and offering a walking wheelchair/mountain trike for hire. Hopefully I will be able in the future to offer a variety of all-terrain wheeled equipment to enable more people with mobility difficulties to experience the joy of being "active wheelers" and accessing many more places. I still have 27 days to raise further funds towards additional equipment so please keep on sharing and thank you all for your support and pledges. Enjoy the video of my recent trip to Scotland to celebrate my success.
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
Whoop, 50 people have pledged since fundraising began!
