Where possible we use local suppliers for our food and gifts, etc.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We saw a big increase in the number of people who wanted to volunteer, support and get involved in what we do at Cherish.
Activity, health and leisure
Since Christmas 2019 we have seen a steady increase in the number of people who need our support. We have kept in regular contact with them throughout the COVID crisis and this has also encouraged them, in turn, to keep in touch with each other. We have developed a small team and our volunteer base has also grown. Supporting the lonely and isolated has always been vital but even more so over the past months with the pandemic we have faced. We will begin hosting regular events, etc as soon as it's safe for us to open our centre again which will allow Cherish members to socialise in a safe, secure and very welcoming environment.
