My name is Nick Milton and I'm a historian and journalist. I believe history has been very unkind to Neville Chamberlain. So in 2019 I wrote a book about him called 'Neville Chamberlain's Legacy - Hitler, Munich and the Path to War'. The book shed new light on his role in Birmingham and revealed for the first time his love of conservation as well as his role in creating social housing, a municipal savings bank, now the TSB, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. To honour him I've teamed up with the Chamberlain Highbury Trust to update the existing Blue Plaque to him in the city so it includes his time as a Birmingham councillor, Lord Mayor and MP.
